We started on time, pace of play was good, lunches ready right as the first groups came off 18 and a well-staffed 19th hole so no one had to wait for a beverage for very long. As you may or may not know, I am the coach for the Special Olympics golf program in Temecula.
Since the Legends management team has taken over the golf course they have assisted in making our program a huge success. They have donated clubs and equipment to the less fortunate athletes. Nick has let us have complete access to all of the facilities at the golf course. Including the range, putting greens, chipping and sand trap areas as well as allowing our athletes to work on the golf course and play several holes. Many times Nick has come to the range and given his time to work with our athletes.
Without Nick and the Legends commitment to our program, we would not have the great successful golf program than we have today. And because of their help, we qualified three of our golfers to play in the state games this spring. One golfer will be playing his own ball and two golfers will be playing alternate shot.
